The
Jena Ashley Smiles 929 Foundation is a non-profit foundation started in
honor of Jena Ashley Hellman Leblang by her friends and family. Jena
was a rare soul who was filled with love and compassion for others, as
well as unending kindness to those less fortunate than herself. She was
an intelligent and successful woman, believing in hard work and
perseverance, while at the same time providing constant support,
encouragement, and unconditional love to others.
Unfortunately,
Jena’s life was cut short, and she was unable to do and experience
everything that she had wanted. This foundation, named in Jena’s honor, has a simple, yet powerful mission: put smiles on the faces of those who need them. This
will be accomplished both through hands-on community service based
projects and financial support to charitable causes that were important
to Jena, including literacy, medical research, and new and ongoing
community service projects to help those less
fortunate.
